The city administration has imposed Section 144 across Karachi, banning all illegal cattle markets for one month ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, except 14, according to an official notification issued by the Commissioner Karachi Office.

The sale and purchase of sacrificial animals are now only permitted at 14 officially designated cattle markets, approved by the district administrations in Karachi’s seven districts.

Meanwhile, roadside animal trading and unauthorized markets have been declared strictly illegal.

The commissioner has warned that violators operating outside these approved sites will face strict administrative action.
